MANDATE

The controller is responsible for providing leadership to the accounting team and acting as a business partner to other departments, auditors, and management. In addition to overseeing accounting operations under their responsibility, the controller supports the CFO in financial analyses and certain tax obligations specific to project management in U.S. states.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the preparation of financial statements and certain analyses;
• Support the CFO in the development and analysis of financial performance for the entities (manufacturing company and project management company);
• Supervise the payroll process;
• Monitor project management and review project financial statements;
• Follow up with project managers regarding project profitability and progress;
• Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team members;
• Act as a resource person for auditors and government departments;
• Be responsible for year-end inventory counts; Analyze inventory costing and
  monitor MOD and FGF allocations;
• Be in charge of monthly analyses and KPIs for the entities;
  Collaborate on the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes;
• Assist the CFO in various special projects and perform all other related tasks.
