RESPONSIBILITIES
- The press brake operator has the main responsibility of bending materials according to the specifications of the drawing while respecting the level of quality of the product according to the established standards;
- Read the plans and drawings, learn about the type of bends requested, the type and thickness of the material;
- Do the programming and “set up” on Amada brand press brakes;
- Prepare the metals and dies, perform the bending, measure the angles and the squareness;
- Check the final dimensions after bending the part;
- Perform regular maintenance of the bending machines and work areas;
- Follow the quality assurance process;
- The employee will be asked to work in a team on certain projects.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Professional training (DEP) in precision sheet metal working, or any other related training and/or relevant experience;
- Have experience using a tape measure, a vernier and understand the different types of dies;
- Be able to work standing and lift loads of up to 50 lbs;
- Be diligent, resourceful and autonomous;
- Be focused on good health and safety practices at work.
